Academy Overview

Strategy is the single-most important component of success for an organization. The Prometheus Academy is a five day intensive seminar designed for leadership and management team members from organizations committed to developing and executing winning business and product strategies.

 

 

Fee per person $5,950. Fee includes materials, daily breakfast and lunch, at least one dinner, snacks and refreshments.

Discounts are available for groups of three or more attendees from a single organization.

Prometheus Academies may be organized and conducted for a single organization on-site.

Seminar Outline

Strategic success requires a strategic methodology. Venturist, Inc. developed and uses the Prometheus Process--a high energy, high probability of success methodology to create and execute winning strategies. The Prometheus Academy provides an opportunity to learn this process hands-on with leaders and managers from many different business disciplines.

At the Academy, participants learn and apply the Prometheus Process--a unique, holistic, start-to-finish strategic planning and execution methodology.

  • Campaigning to Win: How to execute strategic plans based on parallel operations concepts in order to overcome system resistance and produce the highest possible probability of success at the least possible cost.
  • Finish with Finesse: How to craft exit points and exit plans to preserve gains and minimize penalties for ventures that do not proceed as conceived.
  • Cardinal Rules: How to use a handful of strategic principles to increase the probability of success in planning and execution.
  • Open Planning: How to capitalize on the intelligence and energy of the organization's own people to create and execute winning business and product strategies in collaborative environments and how to use a strategic vocabulary to align people at all levels of the organization.
  • Red Teaming: How to find and overcome problems and obstacles before they occur.

The program consists of lectures and discussions on each part of the Prometheus Process followed by small group mentored breakout sessions that provide the opportunity to apply the lessons just learned to a business case study. By the end of the week, participants have a working understanding of theory and practice alike.

Instructors

John Warden, the president and founder of Venturist, Inc., is the primary instructor and is ably assisted by other instructors who are experts in the process.  In addition, at most Academies, the class is graced with one or more current users of the Prometheus Process who willingly share their real-world experiences.

Instructor Background

John A. Warden III is an executive, strategist, planner, author, and motivational speaker whose work has had a worldwide impact in business, in the military, in government, and in education. His background as a strategist includes: Vietnam combat pilot, author whose books include The Air Campaign and Winning in FastTime, Air Force Fighter Wing Commander, credited by Norman Schwarzkopf and Colin Powell as the architect of the 1991 Desert Storm Air Campaign, Special Assistant to the Vice President of the United States, Commandant of the Air Force’s Command and Staff College, successful business founder. He has capitalized on his studies and experience to create the Prometheus Process, a unique approach to strategy and success applicable wherever competition exists.

Prerequisites For Academy Attendance

The desire and willingness to learn a new and highly successful strategic planning and execution methodology in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Substitution and Cancellation Policy

Substitutions of registrants can be made at any time. Cancellations and transfers are subject to a 25% charge unless received in writing one week prior to the program. Registrants who do not cancel in writing prior to the program date and who do not attend are responsible for the entire fee.
